Japanese Horror Films I Need to See

While reading about Japanese monsters this week, I quickly came to the upsetting realization that I haven’t seen many Japanese films. After watching a few Accented Cinema’s YouTube episodes, I created a list of the following Japanese films I need to see this year:

  1. Noroi: The Curse (2005)

  2. Jigoku (地獄, "Hell") aka “Sinners of Hell” (1960)

  3. Onibaba (1964)

  4. Kwaidan (1964)

  5. Kuroneko (1968)

  6. Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1992)

When it comes to Asian films, I grew up on a lot of 80s-90s Hong Kong horror and there were a good selection of movies for those eras (check out the Wikipedia list).
